A digital-first strategy transforming how Norwegian football connects, engages, and evolves.
About the project
Norges Fotballforbund (NFF) is Norway's official football governing body, founded in 1902. It oversees both the men's and women's national teams as well as the top league systems, Eliteserien and Toppserien, and is the country's largest sports federation, uniting over 1,800 clubs and hundreds of thousands of registered players. NFF is also deeply engaged in youth development, human rights advocacy in sport, and creating inclusive football opportunities across Norway.
The Norwegian Football Federation (NFF) is the governing body of football in Norway, leading the game from grassroots participation to the national teams and elite level.
At Nonspace, we were asked to design, develop, and launch a digital-first platform to communicate NFF’s Strategy 2025–2030, transforming a traditional document into an interactive experience that inspires and connects every part of Norwegian football.
More than a publication, the strategy became a living digital hub, accessible, engaging, and actionable for all.
Football in Norway is more than a sport, it’s a social force that unites communities and drives inclusion.
Led by President Lise Klaveness, CEO Karl-Petter Løken, and Head of Strategy Sissel Gynnild Hartley, NFF’s new strategy was built through one of the most inclusive processes in European football, engaging over 2,000 voices from clubs, coaches, players, and supporters nationwide.
Our task was to translate this collective vision into a digital experience that could communicate ambition, transparency, and unity, reflecting football’s power to shape society, on and off the field.
At the heart of the strategy lies a fully digital platform, designed to make Norwegian football’s vision accessible, engaging, and alive.
We built the website on Sanity’s headless CMS, giving NFF a flexible, modular structure that can easily evolve year after year. Each section of the site is composed of reusable modules, allowing the federation to update goals, data, and stories as the strategy progresses, ensuring long-term relevance and adaptability.
Developed within our Brandspace® framework, the platform combines design consistency with technical scalability. It supports two languages, Norwegian and English, to reach all audiences, from local clubs to international stakeholders.
The site is designed for clarity, movement, and shareability, making the strategy easy to explore and distribute across Norway’s football community. Every element, from layout to navigation, reinforces the federation’s goal of openness and collaboration, turning a strategic document into a living, connected experience.
The new digital platform redefined how Norwegian football communicates its long-term vision, transforming a static document into an interactive national hub for strategy and engagement.
Accessible across all devices and easily shareable, the site now enables clubs, coaches, and communities across Norway to explore, understand, and act on the federation’s goals. Its modular system ensures the strategy stays living and evolving, updated year after year as new priorities emerge.
By making the strategy open, visual, and connected, NFF strengthened its role as a unifying force in Norwegian football, demonstrating how digital design can drive understanding, participation, and pride in the future of the game.
