We were responsible for brand strategy, visual identity, copywriting, and digital platform: built as a single, coherent system. The online store runs on Nonspace Storefront with Shopify and Sanity, and includes a discover section, a digital product passport, a repair service, and a take-back programme, all integrated directly into the experience.

Knitwear is a tactile category; quality lives in the weight of the yarn, the finish of a seam, and the way a piece holds its shape after years of use. None of that translates easily to a screen. Plateau needed an e-commerce platform that could do more than sell garments: it had to communicate a point of view, build trust with a new audience, and make a circular offer, repair, take-back, product passports, feel like a natural part of the experience rather than a footnote.

We designed and built the brand and e-commerce platform as a single system, from naming and visual identity to store architecture. The platform is built headless, with Shopify handling commerce and Sanity powering content, giving Plateau full editorial control without being locked into template constraints.

The Discover section gives the brand an editorial voice beyond the product catalogue, with articles like How a knit ages and What we mean by core doing the work of communicating quality and longevity. Circular services, repair via FIKSE, a take-back programme, and a digital product passport through Repass.io, are integrated directly into the product journey, not buried in a footer.

Plateau enters the market as something the knitwear category rarely produces: a brand where the experience matches the promise. The identity is clear. The platform is considered. The circular infrastructure is live and usable, not a roadmap, not a claim, but a service customers can actually use.

A wardrobe built to last needs a platform to match. This one does.
