Given this, it came as no surprise that Reitan Eiendom chose to use Brandspace Reporter when launching their fully digital annual report, where, for the first time, they combined the sustainability report with the financial report.

"The idea behind the digitisation has been to make a large and complex report as simple and user-friendly as possible in preparation for when new regulations and reporting requirements take effect. Last year, the sustainability report and the financial report totaled 328 A4 pages. This time, it's published as a visually engaging and user-friendly website, while still offering the option to read the financial statements in classic PDF-format", says Maria Rosenvinge Erlandsen, Group Accounting Manager at Reitan Eiendom, who played a central role in implementing the new solution.

Reitan Eiendom is well aware that the new reporting requirements are extensive, so starting early has been a significant advantage. Both the finance and sustainability departments have worked closely together to complete a report that marks just the beginning of the journey toward 2025.

In 2023, we entered into a collaboration with Reitan Eiendom to further develop Brandspace Reporter into a platform that can be used by a wide range of stakeholders to meet new sustainability reporting requirements. Together, we have developed new functionalities that address many of today's challenges. One of the key components developed was the automated generation of annual financial statements in PDF format.

With this feature, companies can easily and securely share their financial statements with auditors and other stakeholders directly from the platform's backend. The solution enables the production of accurate and professional financial documents in a fraction of the time it would normally take. This frees up time and resources, leading to increased efficiency and reliability in sustainability reporting.

In addition to automated generation of annual reports in PDF format, our solution also supports integrated generation of GRI indices as note references and sustainability indices. This provides a holistic approach to sustainability reporting. Tagging in accordance with the ESRS and GRI indices helps companies meet the requirements of regulatory authorities and stock exchange listings, as well as the expectations of investors, customers, and other stakeholders when it comes to sustainability reporting. This in turn strengthens the company's credibility and reputation through transparency and openness in the sustainability domain.
