Reitan Eiendom: ESRS Digital Annual Report

For Reitan Eiendom, demonstrating social responsibility is essential. Given this, it came as no surprise that Reitan Eiendom chose Brandspace Reporter when launching its fully digital annual report, where, for the first time, it combined the sustainability report with the financial report.

“The idea behind the digitisation has been to make a large and complex report as simple and user-friendly as possible for the day new regulations and reporting requirements take effect. Last year, the sustainability report and the financial report totalled 328 A4 pages. This time, it is published as a visually engaging and user-friendly website, while still offering the option to read the financial statements in classic PDF format,” says Maria Rosenvinge Erlandsen, Group Accounting Manager at Reitan Eiendom, who played a central role in putting the solution in place.

Reitan Eiendom knows that the new reporting requirements are extensive, so starting early is a major advantage. The finance and sustainability departments have worked closely together to complete a report that is only the start of the journey towards 2025.

In this report, you can click through a wide range of topics. With tagging against ESRS and GRI, pop-up notes in the financial statements, PDF generation, films and plenty of additional material, Reitan Eiendom has made a strong start on the work for the years ahead.

With this report, we have taken significant steps towards greater transparency and efficiency, and it has created real engagement around our forward-looking practice and responsible management,” says Jostein R. In 2023, we entered into a collaboration with Reitan Eiendom to develop Brandspace Reporter into a platform that many different organisations can use to meet new sustainability reporting requirements. Together, we have developed new functionality that solves several of today’s challenges. One of the key components was automated generation of the annual accounts in PDF format.

With this feature, companies can easily and securely share their annual accounts with auditors and other stakeholders directly from the platform.

In addition to automated generation of the annual accounts in PDF format, the solution supports integrated generation of GRI indices as note references and sustainability indices. This gives a holistic approach to sustainability reporting. Tagging according to the ESRS and GRI indices helps companies meet the requirements of regulators and stock exchanges, and the expectations of investors, customers and other stakeholders when it comes to sustainability reporting.
